Do I need to hook up the IGN wire? I see one manual for the XK06 that says I don't need to hook up the ACC or IGN but another that says I don't need to hook up the ACC.

Only advice i can offer is make sure you are using the right instructions for the right firmware. If you havent updated the firmware on the bypass use the instructions that came with it. The XK Loader software should be able to tell you what version it currently has. Hope that helps!
