I installed a remote start in a 94 GMC Sierra. Starts great and everything but when your sitting at a stop sign the speedometer jumps around, after a while i can hear a relay on the passenger side going crazy, when i let off the brake it stops. Any ideas on what could be the cause of this? Its not like its constant. The speedo jumps from 0 to 40 to 60 to 20 and everywhere in between. Point me in the right direction cause i'm not really sure. I appreciate the help,

Derek

If you are driving, the remote start should not be doing anything with the brake switch wire. Just out of curiosity, disconnect the brake switch wire and test drive. Also make sure your remote start has a good solid grounding point. A bad ground can cause all kinds of havoc like this. Including when the remote start isn't even activated. And one other note just make sure there is no wiring around the brake pedal getting in the way or being tugged on. Report back if the problem persists.
