So i just installed a Python 872 in my 08 silverado with a 1701g. Let me just tell you that i'm not happy with the large DEI brians now and that nice little trick of having two neutral safety wires(switch AND wire arg) but the install went smoothly as usual.. the issue i have is that i'm going through batteries int he 2-way EVERY DAY.. i picked up the unit about 3 weeks ago, fooled around with the remote the next day and then installed it on sat.. battery on the 2way was already dead said okay fine i'll replace it.. Replaced them sat night, by sunday night they were dead.   I just put new ones in last night at 6PM after i got outta work, and today when i left for lunch im getting the low battery warning.. my supplier said he'll change out the remote but i wanna know if this is something i'm going to be looking forward to with DEI's new products... id happily uninstall this thing and put a 791 in without any issue!
