I have a 2000 impala and the alarm is a dei Avital Hurricane2. the alarm is in and working fine...except the door triggers. the doors will lock/unlock with the arm/disarm feature. when the veh is armed the interior lights dim with the doors locking (it's supposed to), but when unlocked there is no illuminated entry and the alarm will not trigger when the doors are opened. I am using the dome light wire to trigger the alarm when the doors open, but it's not. I have used..1)470 ohm resistor 2)diode...in both directions 3) and a combination of both. so basically the alarm is not seeing the trigger for the dome light or the doors opening once it is armed

Notes:
NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. Use DEI part 555t or 555L. *1 The ignition harness is located far right of the steering column, behind the ignition switch. *2 Lock and unlock use the same wire. Lock requires a negative trigger with a 470 ohm resistor in-line. Unlock is negative trigger. Must use relays. *3 The BCM is located above the brake pedal. It is a plastic box with three plugs that face the firewall. *4 Installation of factory keyless upgrade alarm is not recommended on this vehicle because the door lock motor wires rest at approximately 7 volts. *5 The drivers door trigger wire is blue. Blue/white will catch all other doors. Use both wires and diode isolate each. *6 Horn can also be found at the black plug with a blue insert above the gas pedal. *7 This wire must be powered as an accessory wire. If powered as an 2nd ignition the car will not crank. *8 Must isolate this wire from the BCM when doing remote start to avoid 'service engine soon' light. See directfax document #1600 for wiring information.

dude, you rock. I will try the dual wire hook-up with the diode.
