I have a customer that bought a 2008 MAZDA 3 DEMO, which did not come with powerlocks.

I installed the remote starter, He asked me if I can install doorpumps in each door. I have done many cars before, but when I took apart the door panel I noticed it was a cable not a rod like the older cars.

I am sure it is still possible to do. I was wondering if someone already has done this job.

Here is a pic of the inside of the driver door.

The DEI 524CL cable lock adapters can be added to standard aftermarket actuators for cable locking systems.
