Hello I purchased a Hornet 570 t remote start keyless entry. I have some experience but i want everything to go as smooth as possible. From I understand doorlocks and parking lights are the only issues with this vehicle. they require relays and resitors. are there any tips anyone can give me about this install Thanks. ps this vehicle does not have chipped key {black key}

If it doesnt have transponder, it should be pretty straight forward. I dont remember if that year had the airbag under the steering wheel, but what i always did was just unplugged it and never turned the key one while its unplugged. (risk turning the warning lamp on)You can also just flip it around if you are a smaller person and can get in around it. lol Like i said otherwise it is pretty straightforward. Have fun!

I don't use relays or resistors for the locks. Under the fuse box are a row of relays, all triggered by negative pulse. 3 are lock relays, one lock, one unlock the drivers door, the last unlocks the other doors. Remove a relay, either pin 85 or 86 will go to ground when you press the button on the door. I just stick a stripped wire thru the hole in the relay's blade and stick the relay back in. Works great, easy to do, and gives you 2 step unlock. This won't arm the factory alarm if it has one tho.There is also a small relay for the dome lights there. Open the door and you will hear the relay clicking. You can do the same relay trick above and connect the supervision wire to it.

Hi sorry I didn't get a chance to thank you for the info . I just recently this weekend started the install. I finished everthing except the door locks . I found the door lock wire but I wanted to make sure that I did it right. I pulled the relay out and when i stick a stripped wire through pin 86 it should go to ground and then i need to hook up the outputs off of the remote start which are blue and green to the stripped wire and the door lock wire. thanks for any help ------------- bat9905
