I bought a 2005 Dodge RAM 1500, found out that the previous owner removed the car alarm out of the truck but left the harness, speaker and what looks like all of the plugs and the antenna. Anyone take a look at the pics and tell me what alarm it could be?

I know its by DEI aka Directed because the antenna says Directed on it. Im guessing its a 571XV, by the way the arm LED is blue. Here are some high res pics of the harness thats under the dash, the speaker, and the antenna.

Edit, Realized the links didnt filter through. Im also not certain about the model because the wiring doesnt seem to match up completely 100% and it looks like one or two harnesses are missing.

One more thing: The main harness plug had the following sticker on it: HWAZC19B 8

are you wanting to know so that way you can just plug in another unit without having to do the install all over? if so, just get another dei unit of almost any type. the wire colors will be the same. just hook up the new one color to color or go right to where the other wires are connected in the truck and connect the new ones. i would just get it done over professionally anyway. that rats nest under there is a horrible install. that installer really didnt take pride in his work did he?

Those wires are not from any DEI system I can recall so I doubt highly the wire colors will match. Does it have a label on the antenna?

My suggestion would be to just pick up a new system and do a proper installation. The vehicle wires you need to interface would have already been found so the install should be simple.

The install was very clean actually, I just unraveled it all and pulled it all out for picture purposes.

The antenna says Directed on the front/top of it, i cant tell if anythings on the back because its glued/taped to the windshield.

Ill probably be ordering a 571XV and if it plugs in, it plugs in.. if not then ill probably take it to a shop and have them do the install for ~$100

clean install would have been you would have had a hard time even knowing which wires were added and which ones were factory, you would have actually had to "look for the siren", and once you did find it that ugly red wire coming out of it, which on that install is sticking out like an elephant at a tea party, would be covered in split loom tubing and also grounded inside the truck with every thing else.

im not really trying to destroy whats on your truck. im simply saying if you get it done again, just make sure you get it done right. after all you like the truck and want it to be nice right? and whats the purpose of even having an alarm if its easily defeated (siren where a blind person can see it) by someone whos not even a good or professional thief?

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Quite a late one, the loom in hand is the starter circuit, the other loom showing is the regular which fits most current Viper/Clifford product, I can also see to the left the LED and Valet switch leads.
