My viper 791xv shows that the doors are unlocked (display on remote) however the alarm arms and doors lock. I tried removing the battery but that didnt work.
I also noticed that the remote doesnt chirp when the button is pressed. I also tried to resync the remote with brain but that didnt resolve the issue.
Any ideas guys? thanks!

It seems that the remote itself isnt receiving the signal from the brain. Could it be that the remote became faulty all of the sudden or is there away to only allow the remote to send out the signal and not receive?

how did you resync them? you need to unplug the antenna from the brain then remove the battery from the remote. then plug the brain back in and replace the battery in the transmitter. just replacing the battery alone wont do it.

The problem seemed to resolve itself once I disconnected the car battery and reconnected it again. I'm such a n00b :(
Im wondering if it had something to do with the car battery dying earlier in the day.
