I have a Clifford IG8000 in my MK1 MR2 that has workd flawless for the past couple years.  This is the first year it has been parked outside and ive had my 2nd reoccurnace this morning :(  I went out to my car at 5am and the key fob fails to unlock/disarm the car. 

The armed LED is blinking as normal so it appears the alarm is functioning as it shoud.  I had an issue similar to this 3 weeks ago in the morning and ended up unlocking and opening the door.  Once this happened the LED went solid and the alarm chirped as its now in valet mode.  As soon as I started the car it continued to chirp every 10-15 seconds all the way down the freeway till I got to work.  I had the heater on so this could have dried out any moisture there was on the brain.

Has anyone ever heard of issues pertaining to Clifford G4 alarms and cold or damp weather?  It was in the high 40's this morning and foggy so there was plenty of moisture in the air.  The problem is the alarm was purchared from a shop no longer in business and has been moved from my registered car to another car.  IF the brain is bad will clifford still honor the warrenty?

I would suspect an antenna problem, G4 brains were untouchable for build quality, I'm using a G4 brain as my basis, no range problems, up to 150ft and remote starting at 28f.,  including the UK's cold,damp winters. G4 remotes (4button) suffered from battery contacts coming loose (re-solder).

The G4 does have the extended antenna module.  Should I try a new module?  Remote was working fine, going to test when i go home for lunch and get made that it'll function perfect :(

Is your antenna a straight plug in or does it have a small square box near the brain? If so change it for the later model.

The antenna has the 90 degree angled connector on the end of it.  Which style is this?

BTW: Went home this afternoon and the car is still not responding.  I'll set the alarm off soon when I get off work.

They all have a 90 deg connector! Trace this and look for a small black box about 6" from the brain, if not and the antenna itself has a thick adhesive square base, then you have the later model. Actually if it's 2-3 years old you should have the later model anyway. I still suspect the remote(s).
