Installed a aps 920 in a 04 explorer and it will not attempt to start. With the key in the light stays on soldi so I know thats not the problem it just will not send anything to the starter wire. The ign turns on blower works, any ideas

Did you test for voltage out on the remote starter start wire so you know for a fact its not sending voltage to the start wire?

hood pin is not grounded? neutral safety wire is grounded? on/off toggle is in the right position?

On Audiovox units there are 2 power supply wires. Red and RED / White. Make sure you have constant 12v at each of them.(specificly the red in your case) Test at the Brian. Red=Start & Accessory RED / White= Ignition 1 & 2

On Audiovox product, if the brake or hoodpin were wired incorrectly, the remote start wouldn't even turn on, so those things should be fine.
I agree with flobee on making sure that the heavy-gauge solid red wire has constant power, testing right at the pin as it enters the brain.
Also, put your tester on the purple Accessory wire from the remote start. Does it drop power at the time the remote starter should be cranking?
1. If the accessory wire does drop power, then the remote starter is at least attempting to start the car like it's supposed to. Maybe the starter output is bad.
You could test the small-gauge, BLACK / YELLOW second starter output, and see if that works correctly. If it does, you could use that to power a relay to trigger the car's starter wire, instead of having to return the unit for another one.
2. On the other hand, if the Accessory output doesn't even drop out, then probably the unit isn't even trying to start the car. You could be somehow programmed in Diesel mode, or maybe have the wrong tach wire.
It never hurts to temporarily re-program the unit for voltage sensing, and see if it works like that. If it works then, you're on the wrong tach wire.
