Hi folks, New to this furum and need help.

Our 03 buick battery was replaced at the buick dealer.

Car system was dead for several minutes during battery swap.

The 561R now will not remote start. The remote door lock and trunk release work fine. Ignition comes on, but starter will not activate. Is a simple repromming required?

I have the install manual, can this be done without a computer hookup (port)

It seems like all that is needed is key swith and the program button use to get this going...

any help please?

if ignition comes on and no start, it may be a bypass problem.

The bypass unit is giving a series of flash pulses without car running...

does anyone know what the codes represent?

Hello!

I figured it out and wanted to share.

I found the GMDL-BP bypass unit info at freetech.info

The vehicle platform type setting was wrong...it was flashing 3 flashes indicating a type 3 platform...

the chart i found noted type 2 for our car.

reprogrammed in less than a minute!

All good...it starts remotely!
