The unit, Python 1400XP Remote Start/Keyless Entry System

Horn honk is in the features list, yet, the circuit city installer said it cant be used on my cars. Both 2003 nissan sentras.
I have had to return each car a few times for things not being hooked up, or installed correctly, such as the anit grind.
Durring the second installed system, i asked about the horn honk and got a simple answer. I didnt argue, and dont want to go back EVER again.

I am pretty handy with stuff, and am wondering if its as simple as finding a certain wire and hooking it into the horn. I know it cant be that simple, but it cant be that hard either. I have the install manual i downloaded somewhere, and there is mention of horn honk and wires for it. Just doesnt give to much other help that i would understand. I can post the manual part abut horn honk if that would help, but i think there must be some good installers around who can dirrect me with thier eyes close and already know what must be done.

Yes it's "that simple"

The horn wire is @ the keyless module to the right of the steering column.

It's WHITE/ green, and a negative trigger.

My keyless module is to the LEFT of the steering column, UNLESS there are more than one black boxes that are installed with this system. I can only see the one box, though i havent looked for another, as i thought it was all contained in that one box.

Confirming that there is just the one box will help greatly! Thanks

White wire with green stripe? and what would a negative trigger be, a black wire attached to the WHITE/ green?

Basicly, should i just connect the WHITE/ green into the horn coming out of the horn itself? I should probably find the horn wire under the dash if i spend more time looking and using a test light, volt meter or checking within the car manual. And just ground the black.

This is all just because we hate having to visualy check that the lights flash when locking the doors with the remote, ugh.

Thanks for taking the time!

OH YOURE GOOD !!!!!!!

I was just looking at the wire diagram for the horn and there is W/G going to the keyless (the factory keyless) !!!!!

Im gonna have to go rip the under dash panel off and figure this out.

Just checked the voltage on these wires. The brown (H1/10 Brown - Horn honk output) from the python when locking and unlocking the doors with the remote. I get very low voltage outputs. Something like .04 for locking pulse and .12 for the unlock pulses. My guess is the volage on the unlock is for the two pulses, but my voltage meter isnt fast enough to see the two pulses.

The factory keyless wire for horn honk, the WHITE/ green is showing 12.5 volts constant, but lowers to 12 volts even when locking and honking the horn once. There is no unlock honk, which i think is normal.

I got it. Thanks a ton. The trigger is grounding the horn. Connected the brown to the WHITE/ green and all works perfect.

Any posible way to turn off the double unlock horn honk and just have the lock single honk by itself?
Not a big deal if not.

How hard is it to wire up the rear defroster in these cars?

Oh, also. I was thinking, because now having horn honk working, i was curious about adding a siren and using it instead of the real horn, since i dont like the sound of the horn. Yeah, we know, dumb.
It should be as simple as hooking a siren into power of battery and using the negative trigger of the remote starters horn honk wire to the negative of the siren, no?

you will need to use a relay because the horn output from the unit is low current.
