HELP!! I went to start my car today and it would turn but not start. I then noticed it said Theft System - which I admit I didnt know I had. I pulled out the owners manual and it mentioned Passlock.
I read some of the fixes and even called a dealer - they said to put the key in - turn it on to the last crank before the engine starts. Wait an hour and the light should go out.
I tried this - it hasnt gone out. I have both factory keys - so I switched to the other key - still hasnt gone out.
Can someone help me please!!! Am I missing a step in here? I do not have a remote starter and if I read correctly the devices that you can buy to bypass it require that it not be jammed to install...
Thanks!

To me, it sounds like you need a new ignition switch. If I remember correctly that one is riveted in and a huge PITA to replace.
------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

did this problem happen when you triedto remote start your car?? if so i would disconnect both terminals and hold the two car terminals together for about 30 seconds then hook them back up to the battery, this will reset anti-theft.. hope this helps
