Help! I'm able to remote start the car fine, but i get transmission error codes (shift solenoid malfunction). The cars starts off idle in 3rd gear and likes to stay in 3rd gear. I can manually shift it into the other gears.  If I clear the codes with my scanner and start the car with the key, the car drives fine. But if I try the remote start again, the transmission error codes pop up. Anyone have any ideas?

List all the connections you made.

you did not connect all the ignition/acessory wires properly.

you need to power the white ignition wire as well or it will not power the transmission valve body and solonoids and give that code. you MUST power that white ignition wire.

and you white must power before your pink wire

I have the white wire connected but maybe it's the wrong white wire? It comes from the same bundle with a brown wire from the steering column. I'll check the connect and make sure the white gets power.

Thanks...will keep you posted.

Thanks guys,

the car runs fine now.

Any ideas if the 561t or 1700g will drain the battery? my battery was dead tonite after sitting for 2 days. not sure if it's a coincidence.

Those GM's are notorious for having a dead battery if you leave the door open more than 15 mins. Vary well could have drained it, and if you didnt drive much after installing, it could easily drain over night. Happens to me all the time. I always tell the custy to run it for 20 mins when they get home, or leave it so i can charge it for them.
