Well i have a viper 571xv that i installed on my 96 integra.
the issue that i am having is that when i remote start my car it starts then dies immediately 3 times. The diagnostics code it gave me was low or no RPM. also not able to do the tach learning. I read alot of threads on here and none that i ran across seemed to help. i have checked the violet/white wire on the (H3) remote start harness right off the module itself and it was reading somewhere around 13.6 with my multimeter while the car is running and nothing when its not. It seems the tach wire isnt hooked up right but im getting the correcting readings at the actual module so i dont know how that can be.

Well you are not getting the proper reading at the module. You don't mention what you have tach connected to in the car. It should be a blue wire and you get it at the test tach connector. This is a 2 pin connector located in the drivers side rear corner of the engine compartment....

wow that's weird i got it working now with a different wire in the same area that seemed to give off the correct voltage o well its working now thx for the reply. one other question if you can answer this for me is about the over and under rev protection on this alarm is it off or on by default and what are the shut off points. also if it is on by default is it something that has to be deactivated with a bitwriter

Tach wire well never give you that voltage, set your metwer to AC volts and you should get a reading of about 3 volts increasing slightly as you rev up. Mike showed you the correct place from which to get it. Alternates would be back of rev counter (tacho) or one of the non common wires at one of the injector ports.
