Hi,

2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE - all stock - new remote start.

After reading through all of the great info here I was able to install a new remote starter, bypass, relays, diodes, etc. and it works great. The only problem is that the new fob unlock sets off the factory alarm. If I start it first, it works fine - just unlocking sets it off. So it seems that the car is not seeing the 'disarm' as part of the unlock.

I did have trouble locating the wires for the lock/unlock on the 'smart' module as the factory manual nor the aftermarket ones list the pin locations. Did I pick the wrong unlock wire ?

Thanks,

-Rich

hey man check for a brown wire at the security module. staub includes that as a note on disarm. doesn't say where the security module is but those one's are usually pretty easy to find.

if you get that all done and your arm doesn't work staub also has a note that rearm is a ltGREEN/ red at the same module. hope this works!

Thanks - I found the security module to tap the wires, there are two GREEN/ red - I'll check for the brown wire.

It is set for double pulse - it unlocks fine, just sets off the alarm.
