is there somewhere else i can grab the tach besides the coil or injector, maybe the pcm.
2000 chevy impala 6 cylinder

ususally ran voltage sense with this car crank time about 1.0

I don't think it's available inside the car.

You could follow the wire bundle coming from the coil pack, and see if it leads to another place in the engine compartment where it's easier for you to catch the same wire.

However, like Thack said, I've always used voltage sensing on those. That car has an anti-undercrank circuit, meaning even if you set your crank time to the shortest setting, the car will crank until it starts.

Try it for yourself. Just bump the key to the Start position for a moment, release it really fast, and you'll see that the car starts anyway.
