i installed the python 950 remote start my self but now my check engine light turns on did i do something wrong if so please let me no i it bugging me alot

first off get your check engine light read to see if t has anything to do with the rs. it could be possible that you hooked up a wire wrong or it could be that its just one of those things that was gonna happen but just so happened at that time. could of tapped into the wrong tach wire. we need more info to help

You didn't connect the second ignition wire. Not connecting this WILL damage your transmission. The wire should be white or pink/white.....

I've seen the ign wire for the trans that was white with a pink stripe also. That was on a 90's tahoe or yukon I think. You have to wire up relays to power up EVERY wire that is powered when started with the key. It may SEEM like its ok when you test is out after completing the install, but you will have problems in the future if every wire isnt powered. On nissans, theres an extra starter wire that needs to be powered. On GM's, there theres extra ign wires that power trans computers. I did a dodge that was the same way. It had 5 ign wires, I dont take chances going by wiring diagrams, I always power up EVERY wire that is powered from turning the key. Even if it means I have to stuff 6 relays up under the dash.
