I just had Car Toys install this system in my 91 Silverado pickup. They wanted $40.00 more to install the dome light supervision. I have some 12 volt experience, is this pretty easy to do myself? I can't tell whether I need an external relay or not. The unit says it has it built in, but the instructions mention adding one.

Also, when the horn "chirps", it is very quiet. Did they screw up the installation?

the stock horn? yeah you need a extra relay. you have a e-mail i can e-mail a diagram, or go into the section of relays on this web page. look for a neg trigger neg output.
