I have a bulldog remote start installed in my mother's 2008 trailblazer.  I've done these before, this is my fourth install.

With all the wires hooked up as provided in the GM-9 harness (ignition 1, ignition 2, start, +12v, accessory 1) and the 791 passlock override in place, the truck will start up, then run for exactly 14 seconds, shut down (the remote start is doing it I can hear the relay), then restart 3 more times, running for 14 seconds each time.

the unit is set up for tachless operation, so I checked the voltage, before startup it is 12.6 and immediately after starting it goes up to 14.5 or so, then after a while drops to 13.6 ro so.

Today I saw a note about possibly needing to connect "accessory 2" in the harness to the accessory output on the remote start, so I did that, still shuts down after 14 seconds.  So I pulled the "ignition 2" wire to check for voltage after startup, and found that with the ignition 2 wire disconnected, the truck now starts and runs for the full 15 minutes.

If I put ignition 2 back on the remote start it runs for 14 seconds and restarts.

Should I just leave it like this or is there something I've got wired wrong?  Only difference is that with both ignition wires hooked up to the remote start, the truck starts about 1 second after you press the button (and shutd down 14 seconds later) while with ignition 2 removed it takes about 3 or 4 seconds before it cranks up, then remains running until I shut it down.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

To clarify, it does not crank for 4 seconds, there is just a 4 second pause before it even tries to crank with the ign 2 wire pulled off the brain.
