Hey guys,

Looking for the color & location of the factory disarm wire (and resistor value if needed).

I have installed a Hornet 569T remote start & for the "Alarm Disarm" the Directed wiring sheet says Factory Remote Only where the color/location should be.

For "Disarm No Unlock" it says Sentry Key Immobilizer.

So I installed a Directed 556cw bypass for it and assumed this would also disarm the alarm as well as bypass the Sentry Key system...I guess I was wrong.

For me to start the vehicle I must first hit "unlock" on the factory key fob & then the remote start button on the 569T key fob to start the car. I can then hit "lock" and the car continues to run.

If I do not hit the unlock button before the start button the alarm/horn sounds.

I'd sure like to find that darned disarm wire if it exists.

Thanks in advance.

hi,

you'll need to have the vehicle see the keysense resistance  (approx 8.5K ohms) on the PURPLE / brown at the ignition key switch and the immobilizer to disarm the alarm.  diode isolate off of the factory disarm lead of the remote start.

Thanks Mark,

Just one more clarification please. I have the mux wire interfaced wired as shown on the diagram below. Which side of the "cut" do I want to hook onto or does it even matter?

Thanks again.

Also Mark...

What tye of diode and which direction should the band face.

Thanks.

the car side of the mux wire is fine, and 1N4001 or equiv. diodes, bands face the disarm lead of the rem start.

Help again...

When I soldered a 8.2K ohm resistor to the 1N4001 diode and test across both I get 2.5M ohms (which is about the same as the diode by itself).

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? And is 8.2K close enough to 8.5K to work?

Thanks.
