Hi,
I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer that I am replacing the remote start in. Installing a
Viper 5301 with an ADS-AL CA bypass module.
I installed and tested all the features then took it for a test drive. I shut the car off and locked it with the remote control. In about a minute I heard a click (sounded like door lock) ten seconds later the panic alarm went off.
I have the panic feature (Panic Mode) turned off in the remote start. (Menu 1, Menu Item 2, set to off) Don't want or need it.
On the bypass module I have wired:
Ground-out when running (Blue/White)
+12V (Red)
GND (Black)
Lock (GREEN/ Black)
Unlock (Blue/Black)
Ignition (Pink)
Data (Orange)
On the bypass module I see a Panic (-) input (Brown) wire. Is this giving me a spurious input, that is setting off the panic alarm, because I left it floating? Do I need to connect the Brown wire? To what?
What about the other unused inputs on the bypass module, do I need to wire them to prevent weird things from happening?

you should tape it up if not used. Its possible that when you got the door trigger inputs, your car lets the domelight stay on. The thing with gms is they send a pulse from the bcm to see if the doors are locked and this can set off false alarms. you will need to diode isolate the wires to the brain and from the bcm
