Hi,

I am looking to install an Astrostart 4204U remote starter in my wifes 2003 Chev Impala. I took the remote starter out of my 2006 Chevy Silverado which was installed at an Astrostart dealer and I was hoping to reinstall it myself. Wondering if anyone has the installation docs for this unit or maybe some guidence on the wiring schematics of the unit and where the wires terminate to on the car. Also, the unit has the GMDL-BP module attached, is this compatible with the Impalas sercuity/door lock wiring? Thanks in advance.

The bypass will work on the vehicle. The Impala is a 5 out of 10 for difficulty but still requires special attention for certain aspects of the installation where professional installation would be suggested. The main ignition connections can be found behind the ignition switch. The GMDL-BP should take are of all door lock & alarm functions as well as the trunk release. The only thing left is the tach, hood pin and the parking lights.
