I've got an 02 Camry with a DEI Valet 716T keyless entry system. Everything was working great until I lost my keys :) I had the system installed a long time ago when I bought the car and I've since moved across the country so going back to my installer isn't an option.
I bought 2 replacement remotes off ebay and I'm looking to get my system setup again. I think the Directed Valet 716T installation guide would get me what I need but I can't find it anywhere (i do have the 712T guide).
So with the wrong guide, i went and started pressing the valet buttons and turing the ignition on and off and now i think everything is screwed up :)
Heres' what the car does now
1. I got both remotes working but i have to push unlock twice to get the doors to unlock
2. the doors do not unlock when the engine is shut off.
Here's what I'm trying to get my car to do (again)
1. 2 remotes lock & unlock buttons working
2. no beeping from the horn from locks or unlocks
3. all doors lock when the car is put in gear. (i think that's a toyota thing)
4. all doors unlock when ignition is turned off

I found an answer that worked for me....the 710T uses the same options as the 716T so I just used that manual: https://www.directed.com/guides/manuals/ig/valet/N710T.pdf
