I installed a 1400xp on my fathers 07 Subaru forester, He loves it but the only thing he misses is the little Subaru beep when you lock the door. I hooked up the horn but that would give a nice loud annoying blast whenever it’s locked. Is there a single wire that controls the beep? If that is the case then I can just hook up the lock/unlock wires with diodes as long as it’s a negative trigger. Otherwise I could put a relay to change the polarity. Does anyone know if the beep comes from an integrated module? Or is it an external horn like beep maker?

Thanks,

Jonathan

It's integrated into the module or the BCM. It's a timed ouput, probably ~50 milli-seconds, maybe more. However, with a proper circuit design, you can mimic that signal.
