It has come to my attention that there is a patent owned by AutoMobility of Canada. This patent requires that the PKALL must use the GWR(BLUE/WHITE), even while in D2D mode. This patent may force other XPRESSKIT modules to conform, as well. I do not have any information on those modules. However, the patent does not pertain to older specific D2D capable modules. They still can use D2D without having to wire GWR. While this does not create a security issue, as the D2D mode will not allow a analog input only to bypass the module, it is something you will need to remember.

to agree with you, yeah D2D on the PKALL does +12V and Ground only.

Acutally, it still provides secure mode. However, either in W2W or D2D, it will require GWR to operate. It's still more secure than W2W.

Yeah that threw me for a loop with the first pkall I installed. Now I just hardwire all of mine.

The PKALL module, when in D2D mode, needs both W2W(BLUE/WHITE) and D2D inputs to operate. Now the tricky question is: Does the module stay in D2D mode, even if the D2D cable is removed. The PKALL is a one shot module. Once it's programmed for a vehicle, it can not be re-used on ANY other vehicle. I believe its' mode can be reset, but will only operate in the vehicle it was programmed in. Note: Don't quote me but, I think I read where it can be totally reset with a flash, for a second shot. However, after that it is locked in, for obvious reasons.

i thought the pkall was a rebaged fortin bypass as are most of the new bypasses dei are introducing does dei own fortin now or have they just given up an making bypasses

i' aware of this, didn't know what you meant by "secure mode". you can just cut off the D2D plug and hardwire +12v and ground. think we're on the same page here, just different languages of the book

No. If you cut the D2D plug, you're not in D2D mode. You're in W2W mode. In D2D "secure" mode, the analog input will not operate the module. This means you can not use the module to bypass the transponder, by grounding the status wire. When you program the module, it learns which mode you're in. It will stay in that mode, until the module is reset.

Yep, just realize that in D2D "secure" mode, a thief can not use the module's stauts wire to activate the bypass.
