Hello all,

I have a working Python 1500 ESP that is going to be utilized in a different application from the original install. The documentation says that the 3 pin connector supports either a Bitwriter(?) or PC communications. Anyone have any experience in the PC connection?

Do you need some form of "dongle"?

Is it just Tx, Rx, and ground? If so which pins are which?

Do you use hyperterminal?

Any input/help is appreciated.

Thanks again,

Terry

This is actually a module converting the protocol from the PC RS-232 interface to the protocol on the ESD RS-232 interface. I haven't seen it and it been discontinued for awhile now. It does require an application on the PC.

Hello,

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think it sounded easy or viable, considering the lack of info available. I was just being lazy, wanting to use tools to make a job easier.

Great site by the way, and I'll be posting whenever possible.

Thanks again,

Terry
