Welcome here. What procedure are you using, exactly?

Try keep your writing to at least semi-proffessional level. Using letters as synonyms for words, can be mistaken for something else, as we are not IM'g here.

First, I would program 1 remote you already have using the instructions at the bottom of page 29. Select AUTO/LEARN. You must have your door trigger wire conneted to operate this routine.

Second, starting the routine over again and using that remote, select Delete All Transmitters. Then go back and relearn the remote and any extra remotes you want controlling the system.

This will make sure there are no unauthorized remotes programmed.

the thing is i'm not sure if i'm getting anything from the valet/program button besides the one time the l.e.d. blinked we had nothing is there a way to see if the valet button is good besides trying to track down and buy another one? since its 11 0clock i don't need the siren going off tonight if i can get it to work so i'll try the delete then relearn tomorrow

Ok.. You might want to re-read my reply. I was updating it when you replied. Remember, the door trigger must be connected, from the alarm.

You need to learn first, then delete, and finally relearn.

ok so in less words

-----learn-------
1. open door (keep open)
2. turn key on.
3. press valet button once
4. press nd hold until i hear siren watch l.e.d. blink
-----delete-------
1.hit the valet button 11 times
2.press and hold valet until siren and led blinks 11 times .
-------

then to relearn repeat steps 1-4

i'm just trying to clarify so i dont' do it wrong then buy a diff. alarm when this is a good one

Each step must be completed within 15 seconds.

Learn:

  • 1. Open the driver's door.
  • 2. Turn the key to ignition.
  • 3. Press and release the valet button once, then press and hold.
  • 4. The siren will chirp and the LED will blink the number of times corresponding to the channel that is accessed.
  • 5. While still holding the valet button, press and release the remote lock button once.
  • 6. Release valet button.
  • 7. Turn ignition switch off.

Delete:

  • 1. Open the driver's door.
  • 2. Turn the key to ignition.
  • 3. Press and release the valet button 11 times, then press and hold.
  • 4. The siren will chirp and the LED will blink the number of times corresponding to the channel that is accessed.
  • 5. While still holding the valet button, press and release the remote lock button once.
  • 6. Release valet button.
  • 7. Turn ignition switch off.

Relearn:

  • While refering to learn sequence above, exit sequence before learning each new remote.

so i think i found my problem thank you alot .. ahhh we never turned ignition back off within 15 seconds so hopefully it works .   if i didn't break my map sensor i'd take it down the road and try it

Well, I don't think that was your problem. It will usually exit at step 6. I think step 5 was your problem.

I would also reccommend that you go through all the menu features and set them manually. Before you operate the remote start, follow the tach learn procedure. I've also heard that the delete all transmitters function doesn't always work. The best advice is to learn the first remote 4 times and then learn each successive remote once.

Does the LED, siren, horn, or parking lights flash? Do you get one long chirp when trying to enter learn? If so, it's BitWriter locked.
