I have a 2004 Buick rainier that I had a viper 771xv remote start installed last yearBy a mom and pop shop down the road last year and it worked good until after we found outThat when I tried the pit stop mode my inside power went dead the car still ran butNo heat or cluster was working so he ran a jumper wire from the accessory to theSecond accessory now all worked well for a year but just about two weeks agoI started to have a strange problem and it’s very intermittent not all the time When I remote start my gauge cluster is not working and there are a lot of idiot lights On and no power but the motor is running. I did not try key take over yet to see ifIt powers up I just killed it and remote started it again and it worked fine. I do knowFor a fact that when he installed he did not solder he twisted and taped maybe I have a bad connection to the accessory or can that satellite relay be bad?

Thanks in advance

I see you started a new topic. You should go to the old topic and post a reply to remove it.

I would definately start to look at the secondary accessory connection. It should be energized with a relay and the connection should be soldered.

By the way, is this an old topic?

So its not ok to use a jumper wire from the first accessory to the second accessory like he did and you should allways solder right?  sorry about the two post i will post remove.

Thanks

Correct, especially on a high-current connection.
