I just installed a Crimestopper CS2000 in a 2002 Dodge Dakota, all is installed and working well, I have not mounted the LED yet and was wondering if the LED output could be wired to the in dash SECURITY indicator. I find the LED is very small and not highly visible

DEI is one of the few manufacturers to make an LED that can actually be seen.  Stop by a Best Buy or Circuit City install bay with a five-dollar bill.  Surely, one of the installers will have a couple of DEI LEDs in his toolbox, which he'll gladly part with for a few bucks.

Chances are, the security light in your dash is 12 volts, and the LED is more like 2 volts or something.  But, if the security light isn't important, you could remove the bulb, and poke your LED into the empty hole.  You'll just need a bright LED to get the effect you want.
