I installed an Audiovox Prestige APS-57a remote start & keyless entry in a 2006 Lexus GX470. Starts fine & locks & unlocks fine.

But when I use my Audiovox transmitter to lock the doors, with engine not running, about a minute or 2 later, all the doors unlock. This doesn't happen when I use the factory transmitter on the key fob to lock the doors.

I used blue for lock & green for unlock @ DDM inside drivers door. I programmed a double-pulse for unlock.

I could not find the lock/unlock wires inside the car @ either kick panel.

One document refers to green & GREEN/ black wires in gray plug in passenger kick. The passenger door has no key cylinder for me to meter the wires.

Anyone have any insight?

I have BLACK/ orange for lock and green for unlock passenger kick panel in an 18 pin connector. This will also do arm and disarm and to disarm during remote start send a gwr signal to GREEN/ YELLOW keysense wire in the ignition harness

I saw a BLACK/ orange & several greens in the passenger kick panel, but there was no way for me to test them because there's no key cylinder in the passenger door, so I didn't use them.

I believe the wires I used for lock/unlock are the drivers door lock cylinder wires. So I'm simulating using the key to lock/arm & unlock/disarm.

I didn't seem to need the GREEN/ YELLOW keysense wire. My remote start doesn't set off the factory alarm. And my lock & unlock arms & disarms the factory alarm.

have you tried testing with the drivers key cylinder for those wires in the pass kick

Also did you look for the 18 pin connector?
The wires that it should be will most likely be right next to each other.

I think that I tried testing with the drivers door key cylinder for those wires in passenger kick. I'll try it again though.

I did see the 18-pin connector-very easy to get to.

The next day everything worked OK. I re-checked my ground. It seemed OK, but I made sure it was tight. Maybe the ground was loose. Maybe the car battery was low. Freaky things happen sometimes. I left everything alone as is.

Thanks for the suggestions.
