Hey guys,
My names Anthony. I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX sedan 6 cylinder.
I've been into audio system for a while now. I currently have a simple audio system. I used to be into the spl but now i'm more into sq. Current setup is:
Alpine deck,
mb quart components,
clarion eq,
alpine MRV-F545,
hifonics colossus xx 2,
1 12" orion hcca sub
Good enough for daily for me haha.
Anyways, I recently ordered a Viper 5900 for my car so I would be less paranoid than I am now having a system and all.
It is coming this Monday and I'm trying to do as much research as I can to prep me for this installation. I've never installed an alarm.
Right now I believe I got all the basic wires down, just need to find the tach wire, work on the door triggers and especially the bypass module.
I did a lot of research on the 555h module and that is what I have now. The bad part is that I've looked around on here and someone here has the same vehicle and he has problems with the remote start. He has a 99 accord but it was manufactured a late 98 and I'm in the same boat. My vehicle is also a late 98 manufacture.
Is there a way to work the 555h because I wish I had the money to buy the 556h.
Thank you for looking and taking the time to read this.
I will appreciate any feedback and info to help with my installation.

Don't be discouraged. It doesn't mean you are going to have the same problems. The 555H should work fine.

hey guys. my alarm came in. I was wondering do I need relays to do the installation or would i just go ahead and wire everything up?

You don't need any relays for a remote start. If that is an alarm system, you will need a relay for strarter kill.

Does it come with one?

you won't need any additional relays for the starter kill it's built into the xcrs, once it is wired properly it serves as starter kill, remote start, turbo timing, and anti grind

(honda accord ex 6cyl sedan 1999)
5900 viper w/555h bypass
hey guys. I almost finished my alarm last night. took me like 4 hours ugh.
anyways. tested everything out and everything seems in order.
(things i didnt use but i want to know what it is used for):
- 200 mA channel 2 validity output
- (-) 500 mA Armed output
- channel 5 output
- channel 6 output
- channel 4 output

Some things that i need to work on is (some help would be nice):
-trunk trigger? i tested it out with my alarm armed and i opened it with me key and the alarm didnt go off.
-my factory alarm had the trunk open switch so i have to work on that too.
that's all i need and then im done.

I also did the 555h bypass. the key i used which was the black key. the bypass learned it. red led went on and then off (meaning it learned)
so i tested it out and the started kept cranking but engine didnt start.
what i did to solve this was.
- i had two black keys. put one key on top of cylinder and hold one on the bottom of key cylinder. no key in ignition.
- then use remote alarm and start it.
this worked for me.

thanks guys.

umm the channel two output can be used for ur trunk release, depending on the polarity of the trigger wire you may need a relay, the armed output can be used for additional immobilisation points such as ignition and fuel, assuming of course you covered starter with the xcrs, the others are just auxilliary outputs that you may use for other convenience features.

anybody know which wire from 5900 viper i would use for my trunk pin/trigger? When my alarm is armed, I used my key to open the trunk and the alarm didnt go off.
should i use RED / WHITE channel 2, 200mA (-) output?
or tap the door trigger wire to the trunk pin wire?
thanks

umm well, window roll, mirror fold, defroster turn on, you can even use it to control relays to shut the vehicle down if you had the remote and someone took the vehicle from you and drove away, there are many possibilities, they're not made for anything in particular.

turn on and off lighting, neon, led's. motorization,  window defroster, seat heaters, sunroofs, all kinds of stuff. anything really that you want to control can be controled with those outputs.

i did the trunk release today and it was rather simple. so im getting better with relays. any output and wire diagrams on the windows and sunroof would be great.

thanks again guys for taking the time to read and post.
i hope i can get better at these things so i can help out too.
