i've installed a few remote starters so most of the wires are self explanatory. but there is a harness (remote start aux.) that plugs into the satellite relay. the diagram states they are for Status Input, Acc Relay Trigger, Starter Relay Trigger, Ign Relay Trigger. my question is this a mandatory harness? if it is, what circuits to they go to.

these are used to trigger additional relays... you wont need it....

thats what i thought but wanted to make sure. the problem is i have everything wired up that i need but its not working properly. when i press the lock and unlock buttons the lights flash accordingly and the led shows it arming and disarming. but the locks arent actually working. when i try to remote start it doesnt do anything. have good ground and every wire i tapped into is correct and sending proper signal.

How did you hook up to door locks? What wires did you use in car?

in the drivers kick panel is the wiring harness for the door. i believe the light blue and BLACK/ with red are the wires for the door locks. both have signals when you lock or unlock. i taped into those.

Is it a 2-door or 4-door?

Are the door lock wires thin or thick?

A 2-door is type C door locks & will require relays.

yes it is a two door. so both lock and unlock will require relays?

Yes, you'll need 2 relays on those 2 wires.

I will find a diagram on this site & post it here.

5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks
Like the configuration above, the switch, when moved in either direction, applies both power and ground directly to motor legs  without the use of any relays. Except, at the switch in this case, both motor legs rest at ground . Therefore it is only necessary to change the polarity of one motor leg to lock or unlock the vehicle.
