I have an old astrostart 120 that is giving problems. The power feed to the battery had become corroded and loose so I had it disconnected for a couple of weeks till I got new battery connections and hooked things back up. Now nothing happens when I try to use the remote start, won't start or unlock or lock or open trunk. There is power to the brain and the led lights when I press the brake. With the car running after being started with the key, the led flashes at a rate of about 2 or 3 flashes per second. Does this sound like the right behaviour for the brain? The remote emits a series of beeps and the remote led flashes but there seems to be no communication between the remote and the brain. I tried to reprogram the remote with dip switch 8 as per the manual but nothing changed. Any ideas?

If your getting NOTHING, no lock no start etc... check the receiver antenna. both ends... on the glass, and the brain.

That would only give a remote start problem.... it would have nothing to do with the locks NOT working.

This is either a transmitter, or receiver issue.
