Hello, new to the forum. I've been using the the tech sheets on this forum to do some remote start installs and the last one I did was an 07 chyrsler sebring. The bypass I used was a DEI XK532 combination bypass. Everything works on the car and the remote start, but now anytime the key is put into the on position in the key cylinder (doesn't matter if it was remote started or not) the horn honks. I didn't see anything on the bypass that allows options to be programmed other than double pulse door locks. I don't hook up the horn honk feature of the remote start so I know it isn't that. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to a way of how I can fix this. It is rather annoying lol. I figured that because it is hooked up to the data wire, it must be telling it to honk the horn or something. Thanks in advance for any help.

Brian

Look to this thread. It was brought up by a forum tech, who has knowledge of this, and a possible fix. Hopefully, I will be attempting this soon.

Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

If you can not figure it out, this would take care of the problem.  Hopefully someone more familair with your vehicle and alarm system will have a solution for you.  If nobody can help you, the following diagram should do the trick.

Craig thanks for that last diagramme, it's just given me a way to turn off the indicators on the latest Vauxhall (Saturn) Astra, the GREEN / WHITE at the switch has to pulsed to ground to start then pulsed again to stop. It's a damn sight easier using that time delay set up and an aux to go when disarmed than 1 white to the rear then a diode to each side, then another to the front fuse box and 4 more diodes,  the front  fusebox especially is a right mustard to open up.

Glad to help, but I can't really take the credit for the diagram.  Just the modification.
