I installed a rs in a 2003 pontiac aztec and every thing works fine, except the gauges. The tach gauge, fuel gauge and temp gauge do not register anything even if I start it with the key. I installed a Ultra Start 1280 RX Pro, and used a GM-SL bypass. I also soldered all connections The Ultra Start comes with 2 ignition wires, and i used a relay for the third ignition. The GM-SL is only controling the park lights and the passkey3. Any help would be great! Thanks

I'm not sure if that vehicle has a 3rd ignition. It does have 2 accessories, though. However, that doesn't matter, as your issue still arises when manually started. My guess is you may have inadvertently pulled a plug from the cluster panel or worst case damaged the ECM somehow.

I used the wire colors from this site, and it lists 3 ignition wires and 1 acc. wire, but after looking around in the forums, and from what your telling me, I may have a 1 too many ignition wires hooked up and 1 less acc. wire hooked up.  Do you think this could be the cause for the gauges not working though?

No. As I stated in my previous post, that doesn't matter, as your issue still arises when manually started.

I disconnected the negative battery cable for ten minutes or so, and all is good now! Thanks for the help
