Ok to start off the remote starter it self is installed correctly i tried it in automatic and it starts the pickup and stays running.

the problem is with the RS-MI when i put it in manual mode it will not start.

i isolated the door pins the way astroflex chart said to do and connected the e-brake to the green wire on the unit. i hooked up the positive door trigger to a 12 volt source and the - to the isolated door pins. the instruction also showed to installing a 10k resistor from the 12v source to the - door trigger.

When inputting the sequence for remote start the engine will not stay running. i set it up for one e-brake. if you try to remote start it gives you the code for safety sequence broken by parking brake

have seen some thing about noise on the line and the suggest to add a 10k ohm resistor to the ebrake line. so i am going to try that

So you tested the e-brake line and it is the right one? It should be a dark GREEN / WHITE in the bundle above the drivers kick showing ground when e-brake depressed, right. When you setup, does the vehicle stay running or does it shut off when removing the keys?  If it shuts off, then you have the wrong e-brake line, diodes in wrong or resistors are not needed. I have never put those resistors in. Haven't found an application where it was required and I'm guessing that you don't need them either.

+1 on the resistor application.

yes its the right wire, i did test it can retest it though, correct me if i am wrong but if you put the diode in wrong then the brake light will not light up if you push the e-brake down, right?

I'm in the process of installing a Compustar RS in my 04 Ram and I didn't use any resistors other than the door lock/unlock and parking light.

And yes, if you put in the diodes backwards it can prevent current from going to where it is supposed to, but I don't see any reason why you would have to diode isolate the e-brake cable. Normally you diode isolate when you have multiple sensors and only 1 trigger.
