hey,
im trying to find out the procedure for bypassing the clutch switch in a 2003 cts. im installing a manual transmission compatible remote starter and i can't find the information anywhere. thanks in advance!

There should be a switch located very near the pivot point of the clutch lever. It should have only 1 wire going to it. To verify if it is the correct wire, unplug it and the car should not start.
According to Audiovox this is a 4 Dr. vehicle. I would think the 2 seater Corvette based vehicle COULD have a manual tranny. Do you have a manual tranny? Or are you asking how to put the manual tranny starter on your automatic?

its is a 4 door with a manual trans. at the clutch switch there is a connector with 4 wires. 2 pink and 2 PURPLE / white. its is very tight and difficult to test the wires while its plugged into the switch. i did get it disconnected and the car did not start. i just want to find out if anyone knows what these wires are so i can have an idea of somewhere to start with this bypass. i only want to have the switch bypassed during rem start, so it doesnt affect the cruise ctrl. i was hoping i would just be able to open the circuit with a relay using the grd out while running trigger a relay, but ive only done that in 2 wire clutch switch scenarios.

I just figured out why there are so many wires on your clutch switch. Most vehicles have only one wire connected to one switch. The clutch in your car has 2 switches, one is the safety switch to not allow it to start unless the clutch is fully depressed. The other switch kills your cruise control if you slightly depress the clutch. Sorry we have no info for you, that is the first Caddy with a manual tranny I have ever heard of. I know you said it is hard to get to, but you need to ground one lead of your meter and then somehow get the other lead into one of the 4 connections on the plug and depress the clutch all of the way and see which of the wires becomes shorted to ground. Whatever method you were planning to use to tap into the wires, you may have to do that to each wire one at a time to allow you to test to see if it is the right wire.
