Anyone know where the factory alarm module is located on a 2003 Honda Accord? I've got one with a malfunctioning factory alarm and want to disable/disconnect it since I've got an aftermarket one on it.

Thanks.

It's most likely part of the driver's fuse box/body control module.

If you short the two wires at the factory hood switch, the alarm will think the hood is open, and it will never be able to arm.

Thats a good idea. I can't remember if I'm using the factory hood pin with the aftermarket alarm though...

even if you are, you can still do it. just install a diode on the trigger side wire from the pin switch with the wire from your alarm between the pin switch and the diode like the diagram i drew below. it will let the pin switch still work for the alarm and you can short the wires to defeat the factory alarm. YAY!!!
