I ran into an issue today with an a6.  The 2006 model has a data operated ignition system and I was wondering if there was a soul out there that has successfully bypassed this issue  without using the $583 fortin module.

I have access to all the tech notes, so please that's not what I need. I need some mastermind to explain how they made theirs work. Thanks to all, and good luck!

Forget it!!!!  You'll be dancing the CAN CAN over this one. Audi,  shmaudi, I've driven 200 miles today, it's lovely working out there in the dark and sub-zero waiting for a cranky tracker to come on line, stop laughing t&t what's the temp where you are ? I've run a mile from every post 2005 audi, my only suggestion would be to try one of the other firms if Fortin can't help. The other alternative would be to buy another ignition receptacle, parallel it with the original and bury a key. No that won't work unless you then feed ign and starter outputs at the fuse box.

Yeah it's a pretty tough situation. I really didn't want to have to tell this guy it can't be done but I might have to.  Thanks for your input friend.
