Hey guys. First time poster here, heck of a site. On Saturday I have a appointment for a remote start/alarm in a 99 MB S600. I'm unsure of the bypasses that are required or if any are needed. Also I'm a bit hesitant to jump right into this car as the customer is a real stickler about everything (i.e, watches over your shoulder the whole time). Any diagrams or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Saw this post and I have some questions and comments:- first is it a plastic smart key or a regular if it's the first don't do it !  Second you have multiple ignitions and ACCs at the ignition switch, assuming it's the regular type.  My guess for a transponder by-pass would be a 556U, I've never done an R/S with a slave or valet key buried in it. Suggest looking at Fortin etc site. Last and most important, how can you work with the customer standing over you? On that point make sure you thoroughly check the car over before hand including body work.  My second guess is that if you get that far your ignition and start will be picked up at an engine bay fuse box.  Isle of Man, that's exactly like living where you live now GH.

Thanks for the reply guys. We turned the car down due to a ignition problem. Whenever the customer wanted to drive the car he had to put the steering column all the way down for the car to run. Had to be faulty wiring some where in the car so passed on it.
