at the relay pack of the viper 5900 there is a 4 pin harness, use the small purple wire to trigger a relay purple pin 85 pin 87 and 86 fuse 12v pin 30 to second starter wire. ------------- Luis

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

not to overshadow anyone but you can use a feed of the thick gauge starter wire to trigger the relay, wire it just as stated, but you can connect both feeds at the same point and solder makes the job easier and is less risky than splicing into those thin gauge wires on the ribbon of the relay pack. just a thought

There's actually a seperate 4 pin harness that comes with that second starter output wire, and is different from the ribbon harness. You just need a relay to "power it up enough" if you will. But, yes i can see you using the original starter wire also!

It can be, if you like. Key side would go to #87a.

no it does not need to be, and there is no point in interrupting it, just cut the main starter wire, the second starter wire also referred to as the cold start wire only serves secondary purposes, and doesn't prevent the car from starting normally. ------------- COMMIT YOUR WAY TO JEHOVAH AND HE WILL ACT IN YOUR BEHALF.
