I have a question for everyone.
I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Diesel and an AstroStart 4204U with an Omega DB-GMDLBP for the door locks and the pass-lock, I had this installed by an AstroStart dealer.
Here is my issue...
Whenever I start the truck with the remote start then get in, turn the key on, and put he truck in drive; the doors lock on the truck, the dome light comes on, and the Information Center on the dash comes up and says "Drivers Door Ajar". This happens every time I start it with the remote starter. I know it is the remote start, or the GMDLBP, because while the key is in the ignition and turned on if I hit the lock button on the remote start fob it does the same thing. If I hit the lock on the factory remote this does not happen.
I took the truck back to the place that put in the remote start and they told me that this was a "trait of the vehicle" and that the module "mimics" the factory setup and that it must do it with the factory remotes too.
Sorry for the long post...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
B

turn off the ignition controlled door locks should fix it when the doors lock it opens the door to defeat the rap option that is turn off lights and radio the same as you do when you exit your vehicle

Is this part of the AstroStart? And how do I do that?
Thanks,

it would be a feature of the starter

i would probably just take it back to the Dealer and have them remove that feature. Did they by chance give you the installation manual? it'll tell you how to do it there, but it'd be much easier for them to do it for you.

This is a problem with the bypass module. Replace the bypass and this will fix the problem. The communication via databus is causing this problem.

My guess too. D2D is too unreliable and cuases flaws like this. Hard wire the two together may be the only solution...
