hey i have a little experience installing alarms but i'm kinda stuck at the door triggers issue my friend has a 06 acura tsx how do I if i need to find out the right diode for the door triggers and how do i determine what kind of door locks is it (ex 2 wire, 3 wire, single wire) also seeing that it is a newer car i do have the extra keys do i still need a bypass module viper 5901 alarm Help greatly appriciated

you dont need diodes for the doors on that car for the door trigger. its just a negative GREEN/ red wire behind the fuse box. the door triggers are negative trigger door locks. the TSX also uses a transponder type ignition system, so you need some type of bypass system for that.

Agreed.

The GREEN/ red wire should be in a small harness that runs upward from the fusebox, up toward the A-pillar to the roof of the car. If you think about the way it's routed, you'll realize it's just the domelight wire.

The doorlocks are available in the driver's fusebox, but to arm and disarm the factory alarm, the wires are inside the driver's door, which isn't fun.

bypasskit.com sells modules to avoid going into the door, as well as modules to avoid losing a key.

Or, go to idatalink.com, as they sell one module that takes care of the key AND the locks, as well as giving you door trigger, tachometer, brake, and more.
