I could use some help putting a starter in an 08 Kia Sedona.

I just bought the van and I have the 23927 so I'd like to make it work.

I could use a wire diagram, Door lock info, factory alarm disarm info and any tips and hints etc. Even if the tip is to go with another type of remote starter! I had this one lying around for years, I put one in my Dads truck and it worked flawlessly for many years but it was a lot of work to put in.

Any help, suggestions, tips would be very muck appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Thanks a million.

I do have another question what company is this info from? it mentions a door lock module in the notes. I'd like to check on getting one of them.

I'm not sure where that information is coming from, bit it looks accurate.

The XK01 is from Trilogix, at www.bypasskit.com. It does doorlocks, factory arm/disarm, sliding doors, and power rear hatch. Wiring up the locks without the module would be very painful.

Wherever you choose to buy your XK01, make sure it's from a reputable seller who will flash it with the correct firmware for you. Out-of-the-box, it's not programmed to work for the Sedona.

Other thoughts:

As that information says, if you get postive parking lights at the dash dimmer switch, it doesn't light up the outside of the car.......use negative at the steering column.

I've always used voltage sensing on these vans, and they work fine.

The ignition wires look a little tight, but just unplug the harness from the back of the ignition switch, stretch the wires straight, and there's enough room to work.

Does your van have power sliding doors and/or hatch? If it does, I'm not sure if your remote starter has enough outputs to control all of those features. (Kia remote doesn't work when remote start is on.)

After you get the plastic dash panel down, you'll notice that two bolts for the metal knee bolster appear to be unaccessable. Unfortunately, the only way to get to them seems to be to trim away the plastic in front of them.......but once the car is back together, it's not visible at all.
