Hi Guys,

This is my first time posting so hopefully I don't miss anything (If I do just let me know!) I recently just purchased a 2000 Honda Civic Si (Canadian model) which came with a Clifford Arrow 3 Alarm. I wanted to change this to a 2-way alarm/remote and decided to go with the Viper 5900. Now my question is... is there anything special my car needs or is it a simple install.

The only thing that I would think we need additional work (or cost extra) is the fact that it's standard and has power locks (comes with power lock but not keyless entry).

How much would a typical install for this setup cost me?

Also, is this something I could do myself, considering there is already an alarm in there. Would it be a simple swap of the brain or are additional wires/connections needed to be made. Obviously there are a few additonal since my old alarm doesn't have remote start but alarm wise... is there any additional work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Danny

there are a bit more connections, the alarm part may be a simple test and reconnect from the old system, the vehicle is coniderably easy, if you have a digital meter, and some time i would be willing to lend a hand so to speak. of course considering you're a total newbie, you could just take it to a pro and have them install it, i have no idea on the costing though as i'm from the caribbean, but if you decide to do it yourself post back.

Three things extra:- tach pick-up, connection to ign, start, acc 2nd ign/acc etc plus transponder by-pass, more readily available in Canada, try Fortin.
