So, I bought a cheap ebay Giordon MS686-II Motorcycle alarm/remote start. I mainly bought it to use the ignition cut feature, and remote start. I'm about to wire it up and want to make sure I have my wiring figured out. The first image is the supplied wiring diagram, and the second image is my proposed install.

Any input would be great. the 2 wires I'm not sure about are the Pink and Gray. I dont really have an extinguish wire on my key cylinder. I did hook the unit up on a "test bench" and it doesnt seem like the pink and gray wire are related on a relay or anything. I get no voltage on it or continuity between the 2 (armed or disarmed), an no continuity to ground.

Thanks,
Jay

yeah tahts strange pink and gray should have cont. when in the disarmed state, that appears to be a starter or ign kill.  brown could posibly be ign.  typicly you want to break the starter wire not IGN because if the alarm fails and your driving the bike would stall where on the starter wire no chance od stalling the motor.  Also there could be a misprint in the manual it's not uncommon.

well i tried it cutting the ign wire and the starter wire (seperate tries) neither worked. If i splice the ign wire, it will crank and not start, even w/ remote start, if i cut the starter wire, i get power but wont crank. armed or disarmer, or remote start.

but now i do have a remote start and a mild alarm, but not what i initially wanted.

I might pull it out and throw it on the bench to see if i can figure out whats up. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to let me know.

It just occured to me, maybe they work as grounds? Just an idea. I'll test that later and report back.
