I just installed an Aftermarket Generation Two lcd Alarm. I was able to wire everything with the exception of the starter remote. I connected the wires according to the vehicle wiring and the starter module. The remotr start still doesnt engage? Any ideas or assistance to what am I missing?

Thanks,

are you using a bypass for the transponder system? if so which one?

I do not have a bypass for the transponder can you explain more in detail? I was just using the Starter module that came with the the alarm. This is my first time installing a starter remote on this vehicle.

Thanks for the response.

Your car has an immobilizer key and requires a bypass to make it think the key is actually in the ignition. Try Idatalink's website or bypasskit.com...

Thank you very much. Do I look for one specifically for my vehicle or would an universal one do the job?

Either.

I purchased a DE 556cw. Does anyone have any diagrams on connection? I was told to isolate the acc wire as to the vehicle start with (-) current not (+) positive. I would like more information and detail in order to make the right connection. Any diagrams would be helpful.

Thank you

Think i would go with the XK531 from bypass will cover a lot of connection and has the transponder, doorlocks, and MUX. If your remote starter has a D2D connection it will save a lot of wiring including the tach wire.

Even wire to wire it will save a lot of additional resistors and wiring.

Bit tough if this is your FIRST remote start...these cars are pretty much cake work for most experienced guys if you use the XK532 the XK531 is the older platform Sentry Key

Yeah you can say that again. But I have been successful with the wiring  with help from these forums. But I appreciate any type of info that you may have. I do have some experiance with alarms but were going back 12 yrs on older models. But if you have any info on the wiring aspect, I do my research first before actually attempting to install.

Thanks

I have already wired all wiring behind cluster for dome supervision, doors, and lights. All thats left is the starter remotes which I went and purchased Start interface by Directed essential #556cw. It's that wiring that I'm not too familiar with, although it's red 12v and Blue to Alarm output. I just want some more experianced information and or diagram to be certain.

Again Thank you all for your help and assistance,

Thanks

555CW will work you just need 2 keys to program...I always use the PKUCH2X since it takes care of all the crazy MUX wiring (2nd ACC, Starter)
