I have a 2004 Mazda 3 and can't find the PATS module and/or seperate connector. Is is integrated in the ECM and if yes, does anyone know what is the TX (transmit) and RX (receive) wire that I have to hook up for my Omega IB-F3 transponder bypass kit. Any information would be well appreciated. THANKS

There is a 4 pin connector at the key cylinder. There are 2 wires that you need and possibly 3 if you should be hooking up the ignition at the pats module your rx/tx wires are white with green stripe and grey with orange stripe. I dont recall what the ignition wire is. Hope this helps

You don't even need to remove the steering shroud for this vehicle, but does help for the novice installer. In the loom of wires coming off the steering column, you will find the above stated wires ( there are only one of each of the above stated colored wires in this loom ).

Thank you very much both of you! Follow-up question: The installation sheet of the Omega IB-F3 transponder states at some point for programming "using a jumper wire, apply power to the vehicle ignition wire" ... does this mean to feed directly 12V on the "ignition wire" that I will use for the remote starter (Ultra Start U1155) or can I just put the ignition switch to the "ignition" position to do this (maybe this does not work since the system will receive simultaneously 2 key signals - transponder and real key). Thank-you in advance, Marc

If you car is automatic then you can just remote start your car at the point where it says to use the jumper wire. You can't use a key to turn on the ignition as the sequence requires 2 real keys and it can't see one of them again or it will make you restart the sequence. If your car is standard then you must jump the ignition like the manual states

For the activation of the Remote Starter UltraStart U1155, the installation manual states that it can be activated using either a "-" or a "+" input signal. By reading various post, I kind of undestand that the impulse to the car from the factory keyless entry is what is called a "single wire" system (green /red wire) and that unlock is provided through a straight negative trigger and that a relay must be used. By looking at the car's wiring diagram, I beleive that I have a clean "+" signal which comes direcly from the keyless control module (wire identified as "Y" from the J-05 connector) which is used to activate the door unlock relay. Can anyone confirm that this simpler option would/does work? Thank-you all in advance, Marc

You need to use motor leg wires, not the pulse to the keyless. The wires that run directly to the door lock actuators will be 12v positive...
