i guess this falls under < color=#0000cc>Convenience since it isnt security , i have a set of electric mirrors i am adding to a vehicle without any power mirrors , i have figured out that they are reversing polarity ....... there is 3 wires red , white , black and when you choose 2 depending on the polarity it moves the mirror.

what i am trying to find out is if anyone knows of an aftermarket , universal or factory mirror switch that will work for my application ?

if you do have the info i am looking for then maybe just maybe you will have the wiring info i will need for it.

Does red and black move up and down depending on polarity?  Does white and black move left and right depending on polarity?   I need to know which wire is common and which one moves up and down and which one moves left and right.

I have never seen a mirror with only 3 wires, they usually have 4.  If you can answer the questions above, I can modify the picture to make it easier for you to connect it.

This will require 2 switches, one for up/down  and 1 for left/right.  The switches need to be Double Pole Double Throw, Momentary rocker or toggle switch.

You need to make sure you are only moving the mirror one direction at a time, attempting to move up and left at the same time will be a problem.  Be sure to fuse the power wire going to the switch at no more than 5 amps.  The 3 wires at the bottom of the drawing are the wires that go to the mirror.  The Grey wire is the white wire of the mirror.  White was not going to show up on the diagram.  If you get this to work, with one more switch we can make it adjust the passenger side mirror also.
